Come Along with Us *clap clap!*

"Sooo how does it feel to be 20!?"

...mmmm a bit like a hangover, actually.

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so special. I had a whole lot of fun and I was so happy to be able to hang out with so many of my friends from different circles last night at the Druid.

I was especially excited about sleeping in this morning, buuuut my boss called yesterday and asked so nicely for me to take this morning's shift, so I did. I told her I'd be a little tired due to my birthday extravaganzas and she said, "Well, maybe just curl up under the desk and take a little nap." And quite frankly, I'm starting to hope that maybe there's a chance she wasn't joking. I mean, who REALLY needs me anyway?
I'm just imagining someone sitting in the lobby thinking that nobody is at the front desk, until the phone rings and a shaky hand reaches up from below the desk and crashes the phone over the ledge in attempt to answer the call.

Ok so I forgot how to post a video again. I thought I would keep that knowledge forever, but apparently not. So here I go relearning it. Uhh...my party could probably be summed up by the next video I post. Heh...juuuuust kidding. really.

Until next time, spend all day watching awesometown clips. I do.

Identity Crisis

Ok, so here is perhaps the most self-conscious piece I've posted yet. Here's my self portrait done in charcoal. I found the proportions really hard because of the size of it (about 22"x30"....i think).

Self portraits are so good because it forces you to try to get rid of any assumptions you have about your face and just draw what is actually there. I'm not going to lie, though, this thing almost made me have a nervous break down due to no longer being able to tell whether or not I looked like my drawing. Ok I'm tired.
Until next time, wake up standing in the middle of your room and get really freaked out, I do.

The Trilogy!!!! starring "Cup" and "da Purls"

Hellooooo Everybody!
Ok, so here is our trilogy painting assignment. My brother's pottery is now in five pieces of my art. Anyway, the first one is just a black and white

And the next is in colour! Black used in the shadow. Hm. I don't seem to have much to say about these.

Aaaand these next few are the pixelated colour ones! It was pretty fun to do, actually. We weren't allowed to use any black at all so for the shadows, we just had to use different, dark colours. Here's an up close detail...

Here's the whole thing...

And I took this shot to show the process of starting off with the opposite of all the colours and slowly working in the real colours.

Ummm...ok! That's all I feel like posting at this crazy hour.
Until next time, hate plaster. I do.
